It’s finally happened. After nine months the scroll wheel on my Roccat Kone has packed in, like so many Kones before it. It was the flimsy scrollwheel that damaged the reputation of the Kone just after its launch and led to Roccat quickly issuing a revised version with stronger parts.

I thought mine had been doing rather well, as many people were reporting failures after as little as a couple of weeks. Now my Kone has died. The click still works but turning the scroll wheel does nothing.

So now it’s in the hands of Roccat support to see if they’ll RMA the mouse. Alternatively…..
