Mionix Keid 20 Headset

Spurred on by the success of their Saiph gaming mouse, Mionix are extending their range of peripherals by adding a new headset to the range – the  Mionix Keid 20.

The Keid 20 uses a 50mm stero driver to provide clear and precise sound. The large ear pads use an ergonomic design to improve comfort, and this is enhanced even further by the special memory foam that forms around the shape of your ears. The headband is also flexible and adjustable, so the Keid 20 should ideal for long gaming sessions.

Connection is through a 3.5mm gold-plated plug which is found on the end of a 3m long braided cable. Also attached to the cable are the in-line volume controls and microphone mute button. The microphone uses noise-cancelling technology to improve the quality of your voice and can be rotated out of the way when not in use.

Although the Mionix Keid 20 might ‘only’ be a stereo headset, this is reflected in the price – a quite reasonable RRP of 59.90euros.

  • It just looks perfect!
A simple make-up, there are only things you really need (like mute, volume up/down), it is/seems comfortable and it got a good sound and record quality (I think ;-)).

The only thing I would change is the type - I prefer surround headsets, even though I never got one. But I realised that stereo is not "enough" for me in-game.

Now my answer, is there any headset, that's (allmost) the same like the Keid 20, just with surround sound? (I am not that convinced by the Razer and Logitech ones. I will have a look at Roccat. Anybody can tell me something about Roccat Headsets?)

    Thanky you for answering
and I am sorry, for my language, I am not from England, nor America (such a shame!)

    Yours, Mirrorboy ;-)

  • I Currently own one of these and from my side of opinions goes like this

    + Good comfort
+/- Sound is pretty good execpt that the noise reduction is pretty bad.
+ Closing in the sound pretty well
    + Nice looking headsets
    + Good microphone

    - Quality was very poor, the strings broke after 1 month, i had to use super glue, then the strings that holds the left headphone broke aswell so I'm going to try return them to the shop, And as a side note; I have been very careful with them.
    - The bass wasn't very good
    - Is not worth the prize considering the quality.

    Summary:

Good headsets but not worth the prize, and will break after a month or too, and its not just me that had this issue, i've read on the internet that others has been experiencing this aswell.
