Customisable ID Grip For Logitech G9

It’s been a long time coming, but you can now order a new grip for the Logitech G9.

Logitech have been hinting for a while that they would release extra grips for the G9, in addition to the two standard items that the mouse comes with. Now you can order the ID grip, which is a different shape to the standard grips and features a large image on the top. The clever bit is that you can choose the image that appears on the grip, choosing from a variety of designs offered by Logitech or by uploading an image of your choice.

The pictures are printed using a ‘special process’ that makes them durable and fade-proof, so they won’t wear off after a few hours of sweaty-palmed gaming action.

The ID grip is a broad shape to give more support for people who hold the mouse with a palm grip, so if you’re the sort of person who prefers a claw grip this might not be the ideal grip for your G9.

Overall the customisable nature of the new ID grip seems like a good idea. I wouldn’t be surprised if other companies follow suit in an increasingly competitive market.
