It’s a sad day for PC shoppers in the UK, as virtual store Komplett has stopped trading. They’re continuing to operate in Europe but have been struggling in the UK for a while. Advertising has been reduced over the last few months and now they’ve decided to call it a day, so from 24th June 2008 customers in the UK will be unable to make new orders.

In fact it would appear they’ve also cancelled outstanding orders, as my Roccat Kone was supposed to be coming from Komplett. I’ve shopped with them several times in the past and have always had quick delivery combined with good prices and, on one occasion, a speedy returns process.

If you visit the site you’re greeted with the following:

Komplett.co.uk.”

Hopefully this isn’t a sign of how the PC market is going at the moment. but with credit crunches and fears of recession people are going to be reluctant to splash out hundreds of pounds on PCs and accessories, so Komplett’s departure could be a sign of more to come.
